Challenge Name:

DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT

Product Description

GPPEM is a module inside of the Proteineer GeneStore application. GeneStore is currently used by industrial biotechnology and chemistry firms to search and identify promising enzymes in publicly-available data for use in chemical manufacturing projects.

Many Proteineer GeneStore users also have in-house collections of digital sequence data which they fail to monetize due to the lack of a network in which it can be made discoverable in a private manner. We offer the GPPEM module so that this data can be made searchable and a data ecosystem can develop amongst holders of private sequence data.

Usage of Standards for data interoperability:

We use the following standards for interoperability:

FASTA format for digital sequence data

Docker for standarized deployment of product passport/scoring information

Provision of a REST API to allow integration of the service with existing workflows
